Back in the 90s, websites were basic and static, built with HTML and CSS. There were no content management systems or sophisticated frameworks to rely on. It was a time of trial and error, where developers had to be resourceful and creative to make things work.
One of the most significant advancements in web development has been the rise of dynamic websites and web applications. With the emergence of JavaScript and powerful frameworks like React and Angular, developers can now build interactive and responsive websites that were once unimaginable.
Another game-changer has been the advent of mobile devices. As smartphones and tablets became ubiquitous, web developers had to adapt to the new challenge of creating mobile-friendly websites. Responsive design became the norm, and developers had to ensure that their websites looked and functioned flawlessly across different screen sizes.
Throughout my career, I have also witnessed the importance of user experience (UX) in web development. It’s no longer enough to build a functional website; it has to be intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing. UX design has become a crucial aspect of web development, with developers working closely with designers to create seamless and enjoyable experiences for users.
